The AATC was founded in 1989 as the national umbrella organisation of Austrian Technology Centres. Organized as an registered Association the AATC works and acts like a NPO (not for profit organisation) and is mainly sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy.

Aims of the association

The Association of Austrian Technology Centres (AATC) ist the national umbrella organisation of technology-, innovation- and business incubation centres. One of the main aims is the direct exchange of information and experience between the members and to promote the mutual interests of the Austrian technology, innovation and business incubation centers. AATC supports the regional business development function of theses centres with a number of services and projects, thus indirectly contributing to the creation of innovative jobs. The Association offers its members concrete added value and makes an actice contribution to strengthening Austria as a business location.
