Incubators New Zealand
Incubators New Zealand was formed in 2003 as the incubation industry's national association. Our aims are to promote, foster and grow the industry and provide it with a unified voice. A thriving incubation industry is essential if New Zealand is to be successful in commercialising innovation and pushing leading entrepreneurs to transform the economy.
The association also collaborates with other organisations and individuals that work with start-up companies and innovative businesses, both in New Zealand and internationally.

- Provide access to best practice training and other professional services and representation for New Zealand incubators.
- Support our members to produce early-stage companies that are ready to attract public and private sector investment, and gain international success.
- Promote our industry and establish connections with key stakeholders.

| To partner with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and other Government agencies, to build the capabilities required for incubators to maintain international best practice.
To encourage incubators to forge links with angel, seed and venture funding organisations and individuals to help raise capital for resident companies.
To encourage incubators to work towards long-term financial sustainability.
To build strong networks and collaboration between incubators and with expert business support services and programmes.
To assist incubators to increase their capacity and capability and ability to have a positive impact backing New Zealand’s next business stars.

|<p>Eligibility (a) Full Membership A corporation or organization is eligible to become a full member if it is a corporation or organization of appropriate standing and experience whose principal business, in the opinion of the Incubator New Zealand's Council, includes business incubation. The Council may also grant full membership status to individuals whose contribution to the field of business incubation in New Zealand has been in the opinion of the Council "significant". (b) Affiliate Membership The categories of Affiliate membership shall be: (i) Financial Organizations - financial organizations with an interest in the business incubation industry; (ii) Professional Advisors - professional advisors, including accountants, lawyers, corporate finance advisors and stockbrokers; (iii) Academic Organizations - academic organizations with an active involvement with the business incubation industry; (iv) Government or Quasi-Government Agencies - government or quasi-government agencies with an active interest or involvement with the business incubation industry; (v) Individuals - individuals with an active interest or involvement with the business incubation industry; (vi) Venture capital and private equity firms; (vii) Angel Investors - investors in start-up and early stage companies; (viii) As otherwise determined by the Council from time to time</p>|
